San Antonio Restaurants Celebrate Pollinators This September

San Antonio chefs are highlighting the connection between nature and food with pollinator-inspired dishes and drinks this September.

The initiative, called Migratory Month, draws attention to the role bees, butterflies, and other pollinators play in our food system, according to Axios, which reported on the campaign on September 4.

The monthlong restaurant celebration leads up to the Monarch Butterfly & Pollinator Festival, scheduled for October 3 at Brackenridge Park. Admission to the festival is free.

Pollinator-Inspired Food and Drinks

Participating San Antonio businesses are offering a variety of seasonal items during September. Examples include dishes and drinks made with ingredients connected to pollination, such as fruit, flowers, herbs, honey, vegetables, and grains.

Participating locations include Liberty Bar, Best Quality Daughter, Pharm Table, Southwest Elixirs, Howdy Child, Mezquite, and other local businesses. Menu availability and participation may vary, so diners should confirm current offerings directly with each restaurant before visiting.
